Local Insight: Why an Event Setup Costs More
A home rental is a console handed over: you supply the TV, set it up and run it. An event rental is a working setup. The KITAMEN rate covers a console with two controllers and selected games, delivered, installed and tested on site by a technical team, with a 4K TV available as part of the package.
That is why KITAMEN does not compete on the RM60 to RM80 band. If you only need a console at home for a few days, marketplace and home-delivery listings will be cheaper. If you are running a party, an office day, a campus event or a brand activation, compare against the event band instead, and see how the providers compare.
What Moves Your Quote
- How long you rent: a day, a weekend or a month
- How many consoles and controllers you need
- Whether a 4K TV or larger screens are part of the setup
- The games you want available
- Add-ons such as VR or racing simulators
- Your venue and date, including weekends and festive periods

Rent or Buy
Sony’s recommended retail prices in Malaysia from 1 May 2026 are RM2,799 for the PS5 with a disc drive, RM2,499 for the Digital edition and RM3,999 for the PS5 Pro (PlayStation Blog). Buying makes sense if you will play most days for years. For an event or a weekend, renting avoids that upfront cost; the full comparison is in rent or buy a PS5 in Malaysia.
