Not ones you can enter. Across 2026 we tracked 7 Call of Duty Mobile events in Malaysia, and every single one belongs to a publisher circuit — invitational or franchised competition the public watches. The number of open, community-tier CODM tournaments listed anywhere in the country was zero.
That is a strange thing to be true of a game with a large Malaysian playerbase, and it is worth being careful about what it means. It does not mean nobody plays CODM competitively here. It means that in seven months of public tournament listings, no open CODM tournament was posted. If you want to play it competitively in Malaysia, there is no ladder to climb — only a circuit to watch.
The same is true, in exactly the same shape, for Pokémon UNITE (2 pro events, zero community) and League of Legends (2 pro events, zero community).

Put every title on one axis and the two scenes barely overlap.
Read the zeros in both directions — they are the whole point. On one side, three titles with a professional presence and no grassroots at all. On the other, a long tail of titles with a thriving grassroots and no professional tier to graduate into: eFootball (72 events), EA Sports FC (66), Tekken 8 (25), Street Fighter 6 (14), and every last sim-racing event in the country.
Two titles, eFootball and EA Sports FC, are big enough between them to make up a 126-event scene with no pro circuit at all — the largest unrepresented block in Malaysian esports.

Free Fire is the extreme case. It ran 6 professional events in Malaysia against 2 community ones — 75% professional. For a game with the reach Free Fire has here, two open tournaments in seven months is close to nothing. It is a title you are shown far more often than you are invited into.
Mobile Legends is the mirror image. 162 community events against 8 professional — just 5% publisher-driven. MPL Malaysia is the visible tip, but the actual scene underneath it is enormous and open, and it is what makes MLBB the default title for anyone hosting a tournament here.
What this means if you want to compete
If your game is on the pro-only list, competitive play in Malaysia is a spectator activity, and no amount of skill changes that — there is no open bracket to enter. If your game is on the grassroots list, the opposite problem applies: there are tournaments most weekends, but there is no professional ceiling above them, so the ladder simply stops.
And if you want to run the tournament that fills one of those gaps, the gaps are now measurable. The titles with a real playerbase and no open competition are the clearest untapped demand in the Malaysian scene. A Free Fire or PUBG Mobile tournament has almost no community competition to fight for attention with — because there is almost no community competition at all.

August-onward listings are incomplete because organisers publish only two to six weeks ahead, so this is a January to July 2026 picture. Game-title counts are “events featuring the title”: events running more than one title appear in more than one row, so those rows must never be added together — always take the union. Prize medians are nearest-rank.
